How do I transfer businesses and agents from one Easy MTD VAT installation to another?

To transfer businesses and agents (and any authority granted to them) from one Easy MTD VAT installation (A) to another Easy MTD VAT installation (B), perform the following actions:

1. On the computer containing Easy MTD VAT installation A, copy the Clients.dat and Agents.dat files that appear in the data folder (by default this is C:\ProgramData\Easy MTD VAT\ *) to a network drive or USB stick.
2. On the computer containing Easy MTD VAT installation B, ensure Easy MTD VAT is not running then copy and paste the files from the network drive or USD stick to the data folder (by default this is C:\ProgramData\Easy MTD VAT\ *).

To view and specify the data folder where the Clients.dat and Agents.dat files are located, refer to the Data Files section of the Easy MTD VAT help.

*NOTE: You may have to "Show hidden files and folders" in Windows to see the default data folder where the Clients.dat and Agents.dat files are located.
